Terms of Use

MilePal is made by Plantburgh Products LLC, a Pennsylvania company owned by Plantburgh LLC ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these terms.

What the app does

MilePal records your drives on your phone and helps you keep a mileage log. Tracking your miles is free. Reports, exports and other paid features are part of MilePal Pro.

Not tax advice

The app, its reports, its guide, the tax set-aside estimate, the standard-versus-actual comparison, the Schedule C worksheet and the Tax-time package are general information prepared from your own records. They are not tax, legal or accounting advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of your log and for what you file. Ask a qualified tax professional about your situation.

No guarantee every drive is recorded

GPS, your phone's settings, battery saving and other apps can stop a drive from being recorded or make a distance inaccurate. Check your log, fix what is wrong, and keep odometer readings.

Your responsibilities

• Do not use the app while driving. Set it up when parked.
• Only track a phone that is yours or that you have the clear consent of its user to track. Using the app to track another person without consent is forbidden.
• Do not enter drives you did not make or miles you did not drive. Reports show how each mile was recorded.
• Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or work around the paid features, VIP codes or team codes.

Pro, trial, past years and codes

• Pro is $59.99 a year or $9.99 a month through Google Play and renews until you cancel in Google Play. It covers the current tax year and the year before. An older year's report is a one-time $19.99.
• The first 30 days include some Pro features (not tax reports).
• When Pro ends nothing is deleted and tracking keeps working; paid features lock.
• VIP codes are personal, tied to one phone, and expire on the date shown.
• Prices can change. Google Play tells you before a subscription price changes.

Team seats

• Anyone with Pro can buy seats for other drivers on a Stripe page: $5 a month or $30 a year per seat, from 1 to 50 seats. More than 50: write to contact@plantburgh.com. Prices are plus any tax we are required to charge.
• All seats share one billing date, lined up with your Pro renewal when Google Play shares it. Adding seats charges the time to that date right away. Removing seats leaves credit on your next bill, not a refund.
• A seat works only through its paid period, with no grace: if a renewal isn't paid, seats end on the last paid date. Drives and reports already made stay on each phone.
• A seat gives the driver Pro on their own phone. Past tax years are still bought separately. An invite works once and for 7 days; a seat can change hands once every 90 days.
• Cancel seats any time from Settings, Team, Billing; they keep working to the end of the paid period.

Refunds

Google handles Pro refunds in the first 48 hours. After that, and for team seats, write to contact@plantburgh.com. We refund unless these terms were broken.

Limits

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost deductions, penalties, interest or lost data. Keep your own backups.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the app shows the date of the current version. Pennsylvania law applies.
